Métis Roots and Routes: Downtown Walk and Talk
Preconference, Sept. 24, 4:00-5:30 PM
Explore the Métis Nation’s enduring relationships with land in Winnipeg, and learn about their influence on the design of our city. Delve into Métis history at the site of the Red River Resistance, and map Métis communities and other significant places along the Red and Assiniboine Rivers.
The Walk and Talk will begin at the MB Archives (200 Vaughan Street) and end at Upper Fort Garry/The Forks.
